Nicole Thiessen
RSW, BSW, MSW
In my private practice, I provide client-centered, strength-based counselling that honors each person’s unique story, values, and capacity for growth. I believe that even in times of uncertainty, change, or loss, people carry an inner resilience that can be nurtured and strengthened through compassionate, collaborative support.
I work extensively with adult women navigating ADHD, perimenopause and menopause, grief and bereavement, caregiving burnout, major life transitions, depression, anxiety, divorce and separation, and parenting challenges. I also provide counselling to youth (ages 16+) and to men facing mental health concerns, significant life changes, or personal crises.
My approach blends warmth, empathy, and practical strategies to help clients create meaningful, sustainable change. My favorite therapeutic modalities include CBT, ACT, DBT, SFBT, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness based stress reduction. Whether you’re seeking support for a specific concern or space to explore the next chapter of your life, my goal is to offer a safe and non-judgmental place where you feel truly heard, understood, and empowered.
