Emily Zdunich

BFA (Hons), BA, BSW, RSW

With over a decade of experience in the human service field, I offer a grounded and compassionate counselling practice that supports adults and elders through a wide range of life challenges. Since completing my Bachelor of Social Work at the University of Regina, I’ve specialized in direct clinical counselling with a deep commitment to holistic, client-led care.

My approach is Holistic, Trauma-Informed and Harm-Reductive, drawing on therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment theories, mindfulness-based practices, and creative expression. I enjoy incorporating elements of expression and somatic exploration to support personal growth and healing.

I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, relationship dynamics, assertive communication, self-esteem, and emotional regulation. I believe healing is multifaceted; emotional, physical, and spiritual and I offer space for you to explore all parts of yourself.

At the heart of my practice is the belief that the therapeutic relationship itself can be a powerful catalyst for growth. I aim to create a space that is safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental where you can show up as your full, complex self. Trust, safety, self-determination and mutual respect are the foundation of our work together.

Outside of the therapeutic space, I am also a practicing artist working in painting and installation sculpture. I co-founded a women-led art collective Biofeedback, which offers community-based programming that fosters meaningful connection while exploring our unique identities. I am passionate about the intersection of healing and creative expression.

Whether you’re facing a moment of transition or simply want to deepen your connection with yourself, I welcome you to reach out. Healing is possible and you do not have to do it alone.
