MEd. Masters in Educational Psychology Practicum Student

I am a school counsellor currently completing a Master of Educational Psychology degree. Before moving into counselling, I spent 15 years as an elementary school teacher. I also hold a Master of Education in Curriculum Studies with a focus on family engagement.

My passion is helping children grow, thrive, and discover their strengths. I work with children to build self-awareness, confidence, emotional regulation skills, and the ability to understand different perspectives in a safe and supportive environment. I also value partnering with caregivers through family sessions, recognizing that a collaborative approach can create meaningful and lasting change.

While I specialize in working with children, I welcome clients of all ages. Counselling provides a unique opportunity to connect one-on-one and support people as they navigate life’s challenges. I believe that you are the expert in your own life. My role is to provide a safe space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered while developing practical skills, challenging unhelpful thinking patterns, and building the capacity to make decisions that align with your goals and values.

My approach is collaborative and trauma-informed. Our minds and bodies often develop protective responses to help us cope with difficult experiences. Sometimes those responses continue long after they are needed. Together, we can build awareness, strengthen skills, and create opportunities for growth that help you become the person you want to be. It would be an honour to walk alongside you on that journey.
