Hello,
September 30th marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This day honours the children who never returned home and those who survived, as well as their families and communities who continue to grieve.
It is a day to honour survivors and to reaffirm our individual and collective commitments to reconciliation. We urge everyone to take the day to reflect and to participate in an activity relevant to the day, whether it is reading a book from an Indigenous author, having conversations about reconciliation, attending a local Truth and Reconciliation event, or simply wearing an orange shirt.
The following are a list of events happening close by to participate in the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation:
* Wanuskewin Truth & Reconciliation Gathering: September 30th from 10:00am-4:00pm at Wanuskewin https://wanuskewin.com/
* Saskatoon Tribal Council powwow: September 29th & 30th at the Sasktel Centre https://www.beaconnectr.org/?s=powwow
* RunConcilAction Orange Shirt Day Run/Walk: September 30th https://www.indigenousrunner.com/
