Kateryna Shanina

Office Receptionist

Kat joined Carter’s Counselling Services in 2026 and is excited to be part of a team that values compassion, connection, and supporting the community.

She is currently completing her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Saskatchewan and hopes to pursue a career in research and teaching in neuropsychology. She is passionate about understanding human behaviour, mental health, and the ways research can improve people’s everyday lives.

Outside of work and academics, Kat enjoys reading both prose and scientific literature, and is always eager to learn something new. She is also a cinephile who appreciates a wide range of genres, from psychological thrillers to romcoms. In her spare time, she loves exploring Saskatoon and discovering local cafés, bookstores, and other hidden gems around the city.

She is excited to continue learning and growing with the Carter’s Counselling team while helping create a welcoming and supportive environment for clients and families.
