As many of you know, I do grant writing for several organizations and see firsthand the time, effort, and dedication it takes to secure funding. Many community programs rely on grants to operate, and without them, these valuable services wouldn’t exist.
At the same time, I see so many small businesses in our community stepping up, donating, and sponsoring events to help make our city thrive. When you look at Family Day at North Ridge, Buster Days, or the Amazing Race, these events happen because of the generosity of local businesses.
One organization close to my heart is Martensville Youth Connection, which is entirely funded by grants and local support. Many businesses continue to step up, ensuring that youth in our community have access to free programming, mentorship, and a safe place to connect.
We’re lucky to have so many incredible businesses in Martensville, and it’s important to keep our money within our community to ensure they continue to grow and succeed. Some of Carter’s favorite local businesses include: Infinity Salon
Nourish
Dahlia
King’s Accounting
Off-Road Exteriors
Terri Cake
Nova Physio
…and many more!
I encourage you to stop by these businesses, learn about their values and missions, and show your support. Keeping our community strong starts with all of us!
