Life is full of change. Some seasons bring excitement and growth, while others leave us feeling overwhelmed, anxious, uncertain, or simply stuck. Whether you’re navigating stress at work, parenting challenges, relationship difficulties, anxiety, a major life transition, or you’re a young person trying to figure out who you are, you don’t have to face it alone.
My name is Kristen Hill, and I am a Registered Social Worker currently completing my Master of Counselling Psychology Degree. For the past 10 years, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside children, youth, adults, and families in a variety of settings. Throughout those experiences, one thing has remained constant: people are incredibly resilient, especially when they feel understood, supported, and accepted.
I genuinely enjoy getting to know people beyond the challenges that bring them to counselling. Everyone has a story, unique strengths, and experiences that have shaped who they are. Whether we’re celebrating small victories, making sense of difficult emotions, or learning new ways to cope, I believe meaningful change happens through authentic connection and a safe, trusting relationship.
Working with youth and families has been especially rewarding. Adolescence can be an exciting but sometimes confusing stage of life, and parents often find themselves wondering how best to support their child while balancing the demands of everyday life. I enjoy helping families strengthen communication, better understand one another, and navigate life’s ups and downs together.
At the same time, adults deserve support too. We often become so focused on caring for others, meeting expectations, or simply getting through each day that we forget to care for ourselves. Counselling can offer a space to slow down, reflect, build practical coping strategies, and reconnect with what matters most.
I currently provide virtual counselling for individuals aged 14 and older. I support clients experiencing anxiety, stress, life transitions, emotional regulation challenges, self-esteem concerns, relationship difficulties, and the everyday pressures that can leave us feeling overwhelmed. My goal is to create a welcoming, non-judgmental environment where you feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are.
Seeking support doesn’t mean something is wrong with you—it means you’re investing in yourself and your well-being. Sometimes having someone who listens, asks thoughtful questions, and walks alongside you can make all the difference.
If you’ve been considering counselling for yourself, your teenager, or your family, I’d be honored to connect with you. Together, we can create a space where you feel supported, understood, and empowered to move toward the life you want to live.
